golf gda95903ce_640The golf game, unlike many ball games, doesn't have and doesn't have the same playing space, and the ability to deal with the different conditions encountered on various courses is an important aspect of playing. There are usually nine holes or 18 holes on the course. Every hole has a cup that holds the ball. Every hole has a teeing surface to start from, and a putting surface which contains the cup. There are several standard forms of terrain between the tee area and the green, such as the fairway rough (tall grass) and a variety of hazards like rocks, water or bunkers filled with sand. Each hole on the course of golf is unique. It can be played in stroke play or match play. Stroke play is the most widely seen format at all levels, and especially at the top level.
